Bring RAZ SIMONE back to his ‘HOMETOWN’ Video Release!

Today Monday, April 8th, RAZ SIMONE releases his latest video called “Hometown”…the same day as his court date in New York.

This new song has special meaning to Raz because of events occurring in his life recently. Read his letter below to the fans about what he’s been going through:

“My people,

On March 24th, 2013, I was arrested at The LaGuardia Airport in New York City.

I flew from Seattle LEGALLY with my gun to New York without the airline or police informing me of the differences in New York law.

I stayed in NY for 2 days but when I went to the airport to fly back to Seattle I was arrested without being informed of the change in gun laws, which occurred March 1st…not even a month before my flight.

Bottom line–they let me come in with my firearm like everything was fine, but FUCKED me when I tried to leave back with it.

I was then incarcerated and passed through three New York jails and charged with a FELONY gun charge.

I am now out on a $10,000 bail, and looking at a minimum of 5 years if I don’t beat the case.

Legally, I cannot leave New York.

As fans and supporters of my music, my team urges you to do all you can to support and give back.

I spend tens of thousands of dollars creating my music and videos for all of you and I would never charge ANYTHING for my music! EVERYTHING IS FREE! #FreeRaz

-Raz”

Raz Simone – Good Run Lyrics

[Chorus]
Now we both know
It’s time ta move on
We hurt one another
When our love is so strong
In the end
Life wins over Love
So let’s clap for ourselves
Cus we’ve had a good run

Now what’s love compared to the stress
If i’m with the right one shouldn’t I be at my best?
She left.
And that was the last test
I said it the last time but this is our last stretch
I can’t run another lap with a partner that can’t pass the baton
And a player can’t coach the coach on , am I wrong?
Well maybe sometimes
but what’s a ride or die who won’t follow me thru my crimes
What’s a ride or die who won’t put it all on the line
Baby girl you knew the contract before the paper was signed
Like you didn’t know I work hard almost all of the time
It’s funny to me the same things that make girls come, make’em leave
No pun intended at all
I keep running into walls
Withdraw, then feel withdrawals
And it feels good to know that i’m human
But it hurts worse to know that you abuse it

[Chorus]

You copped a ticket out of town at the same time I was bombarded by shoot outs
Hood shit and politics, money was lookin small a bit
shit got fishy quick and you were the halibut
Hallilouya I hollered bitch
We couldn’t go to church enough to clean up all our sins
And even if we could we would get involved again
Fall again
What glory is found in being taller than the smallest men
I was blessed with the Wisdom of King Solomon
Coincidentally cursed with the same follies an
Numbers of women who would follow him
It can be lonely even when so many call you friend
We built a tall temple upon a pile of sand
Things hardly ever seem to go quite as planned
Damn, damn… at least we ran..

[Chorus]

Raz Simone – Cold Lyrics

These days sex is like a handshake
We thought we had it down but the plans changed
I remember savin myself
For marriage but a few notches came on this belt
Oow ooww
Me inside of a woman
When I leave I take a piece of her soul
I’m tryna hold on cus I don’t like lettin mine go
But in this fast life nothin moves slow,
So, we honor a few principles
With loyalty ta only a few individuals
People are surprised when pastors are more hypocritical than your average criminal
I’m just tryna not ta freeze up in the cold
Weavin in the snow
The battlefield of connected souls
The weapons we hold will pierce the flesh ta the bone
The method I’ve choose will make a house less of a home
Fast fix our families turn the microwave on
We like ta play god but take on too long of a case load
Then we pray Lord,
Behind the bars of a jail owned by men who rather see us oppressed till we have frail souls
Then sell hope they stick it to us like Velcro

[Chorus]
Cold
The way they be doin my kind
They say I’m too cold
The way I be livin my life
They say I’m too cold
From the shit that I’ve seen
What I’ve been thru just livin my dreams
Cold
The way I be feelin sometimes
I be feelin too
cold

Word, that’s what a brotha be trippin on
I would say fuck bitches
But that’s a different song
If you gettin money
We can get along
Did I do right by all the women who did me wrong
They blamin the poisons that they be sippin on
Like that vodka cran last night was way to stiff an strong
Bendin laws that why I was hangin all on that niggaz arm,
Cold
Reverse osmosis menopause
You think it’s ok ta lie because you’ve been lied to
Or try ta play your man cus your last lova two timed you
Hurting people hurt and lies are just like the flu
Deception is contagious
And who really likes the truth
Check your Santa clause your parents even lied ta you
For no apparent reason your parents two timed you too
That’s not somethin I would do
I told my son Santa Claus was fake an he said you lyin dude.

[Chorus]

Never trust a man without a watch
Watch out for a woman without a job
Lack luster, lack purpose, lack structure
Back busters,
Lookin like leaches with crutches
These days I be pointin em out
Takin the right at the fork in the road
While they go south
They try ta make me reroute
They wonder why I be out the way
An why I won’t answer my phone for a thousand days
Look my brotha I’m just tryna get out this maze
An figure out some thangs
Plus I got amounts of rage
That shouldnt be let out this cage unless it’s from my mouth ta page
I’m about some change, your about some change,
I’m about ta change my number an get out the states
Pull out the calamari an pull out the steaks
Order everything on the page an leave without a taste
Then listen as the stories about me perspire from up out they veins

[Chorus]

Raz Simone – These Kids Throw Rocks Lyrics

It doesn’t help that I have ta perform miracles
Before I get the recognition that my peers get shown
I remember they told me spit it in a clearer tone
You too raspy youngin you sound too old
But I live in a place where people’s dreams go to die
So excuse me if I have wrinkles on my brow or under my eyes
My momma found truth in her stomach amongst some a da lies
Gettin raped by a close friend could fuck up ya life
but some good could come in disguise
There’s quite a thin line between love and despise
I touch in her thighs
She feels the numb in her spine
I’m fuckin her mind
Havin a threesome makin love to a crime
This is the year of the plentiful
the successful career of a criminal
When the monk priest decides its time ta hit the road
The Saturday when the rabi decided ta lift a load
Flipping thru vogue
Skipping a few stones thru D’s sea
The Lack of healthy fear like what could god do ta me,
I move wit ease thru the things people usually hoot and scream about
loose they dreams about
Decide ta choose a easier route
We need a drought
Just so we can know we need the clouds
We need a jury just so we can go an beat the trial
Feet in the Nile from all the salt these niggaz speakin out
They writin checks they can’t cash I had ta freeze accounts
Greasy Mouths
The type of friends that hit the weed and bounce
I studied horticulture just so I could weed em out
The bitch niggaz that get beat up, go home an beat they spouse
We don’t all participate but at the least we allow

[Chorus]
I like my car parked up the block
Take my tech deck out and keep me doors locked
Cus these kids throw Rocks and,
These kids ain’t got aim

I have ta flow
10 times harder than these Seattle cats
Who make albums outta battle raps
They niggaz snitch on em an then they tattle back
It’s sad they use up more a the drugs they have then they’ve ever trapped
I front em with a pack and never ask for the cheddar back
Cus they must need it
Rehab is above they budget cap
I wish there was a law that only Real Niggaz could fuckin rap
They mug at me im buckin back
Whoops there goes another strap
Fuckin Raz
You Fuckin right I Fuckin spazz
I was taught never shoot with a shaking hand
Glad I gad an absent father not an angry dad
Being a bastard child never made me mad
You have ta be sittin down or layin down ta take a stand
I’m knocking on pearly gates,
Standin on golden floors
The demons are scared ta say my name
Vuldamore
Hold a sword
Go to war
Chop a neck wit no remorse
Then pretend that I give a fuck when I go ta court,
Deep wounds-
Strangled souls with open sores
I did what any D boy does when they close the ports an shit,
Resorted ta more resourceful
Extortionist, turn a rich man to a contortionist

[Chorus]
